2021: Almost as good as this album are the smokey fresh videos. I really like what they did here. Bringing us all back to a largely forgotten period in soul, late 60s to early 70s. Certainly not forgotten by me.

The element of Mayfield that I am reminded on this record is the string arrangements. They’re Quite reminiscent of Curtis’s strings from the early 70s records like Back To The World.
